Takao loves it when it rains, as along with it comes the fragrance of the sky and the sound of raindrops on the umbrella. Not only that, rain is an excellent excuse for him to skip classes as “How can I use the train in such weather?”
Takao loves shoes. The grinding, the carving and the sewing all seem to have become a part of his life. And as he entering the woods thinking about his hobby, he met “her”.
Yukino is a strange woman. Or as she likes to say: everybody is weird in some way. Her life consists of wearing vests, drinking beers with chocolate and listening to the sound of rain. Until one day she is pushed into a corner, where both her mentality and physique have been stretched beyond their limits, where only fear and anxiety remain to drag her down into chaotic fear. However, her meeting with Takao granted her salvation: “At that place, I was saved by you!”
Behind the veil of raindrops lies a 13-year-difference love story. Takao who wishes to finalize his dream no matter the illusoriness. Yukino who learns how walk forward only to find herself unable to move any further. These two people, despite initially trudging on different paths, crossed roads with each other thereby advancing on the same path together. They who live in 2 different worlds were connected by the rain. They who are helpless were granted salvation by the rain.
